Resiliency in the Animal Care Community

Turn the burden of compassion fatigue and stress into wellness and resiliency! Many workers in the animal care leave the profession early while others are more resilient, enjoying a long & rewarding career. Why? Compassion fatigue, the emotional exhaustion caused by the chronic demands of helping animals and their owners truly extracts a cost to animal care workers. This presentation focuses on strategies in raising awareness and improving communication in this area. Learn early recognition of the symptoms, self management strategies, and what proactive steps organizations can take to manage it.
